Should I save my money or buy an Xbox 360 250gb?

I'm going on a trip to Sydney and Canberra soon and I want to buy an Xbox ($400, the price will go down though.) I've collected the money from Birthdays, spending money etc. I also plan to get a TV for Christmas. But should I save my money or just get the Xbox? (Or should I even spend my money on something else?) Thanks.
