I just bought the sims 3 generations and it won't install. i bought it at target, so it's just a regular PC disk. whenever i try to put it in & click run/install, it doesnt work & a little warning sign thing comes up & says: "This product requires an installed copy of the sims 3. please install the sims 3 before installing this product." i've never installed another sims game on this computer before, so does this mean that I need the regular sims 3 first? if anyone can help please respond! thank you

i bought this expansion drive (g) to save music, pictures and videos on it because my computers memory is full. I have saved some pictures some how on here, but they are old pictures. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Expansions?

Hi, I am trying to figure out why my Oblivion expansions don't work. I have the game of the year edition, which includes both expansions. I installed both to my hard drive, yet they don't work. I have tried reinstalling them but that didn't help. When the starting screen comes up, a message says 'loading extra content' for a few seconds then dissappears. Yet no matter how long I wait in-game, nothing appears. Starting a new game doesn't help. I don't have xbox live and I never have. Can someone tell me what to do about this?

Which trip is better to choose?

Both are excellent trips, in fact, the one you don't choose this time should be the trip you take next time. The 8 day trip looks like it would be pretty busy and a lot of traveling while the 5 day trip does include some travel, but everything is a little closer together. If your driving from destination to destination, I would definitely take into account the gas prices when making your decision. I would choose the 5 day trip for that reason.

Big problem with Sims 3?

Hi, a lot time now I have a big problem with the Sims 3. I have all the expansions except Generations and Outdoor Living. So, about every 1 minute the game crashes for about 15-20 seconds. This has happened a lot of times before but it was fine after some adjustments. I have the game installed in an external hard-drive but it didn't bothered me before, I have lowered the graphics, I don't have the game in full size, and they are all originals. I believe it is because of my CPU but I don't really think so. What is your opinion and what should I do?

Where is the expansion valve on a 1994 Mazda 929?

I recently had to replace my A/C compressor on my '94 929 and I chose to do it myself because when I called a couple shops to price the installation, labor would've been almost $600 plus the $400 I'd already spent for the new compressor and another almost $100 I spent on the new receiver drier and expansion valve, so I opted to install it myself since the only reason I was going to have a shop do it was because it's REALLY hot here in Louisiana right now and frankly, I just didn't want to do it. ($600 was exactly enough to change my mind, though.) Moving along, I've replaced the compressor and the receiver drier and all I have left, obviously, is the expansion valve. I've read on a few different sites that say it's usually behind the glove box. Well, I don't have a glove box (also, not a single cup holder, WTF MAZDA?!?!?) I pulled off the front panel on the passenger side and it's really hard to tell what's what, so any guidance anybody could give me as to what I would need to do to access it would be great! I've only been to the West Rim from Las Vegas. However, you shouldn't run into much traffic after getting out of Las Vegas. The only traffic we found was approaching the Hoover Dam. They hadn't opened the new bridge yet and had to inspect every vehicle that crossed the dam. Since the new bridge is open now, I wouldn't think that traffice would be a problem anymore.

I'm in the market for a good game design computer, any recomendations?

I understand that game design is very vague so let me clarify, I want a computer that is good for gaming, high processing power, it CAN NOT have an integrated video, it MUST have an expansion slot for a video card (PCI for example) and a good video card. I want at least 2 GB of Ram at the bare minimum, 4 is better, 6+ is best, 8 is ideal. Dual or quad core processors, not some celeron processor with no cache. The programs I will be using the most are, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Maya, and zBrush, along with that I'll probably be doing some coding and scripting also. I don't think I really need to mention any of the other things I'll be using it for, cause if it can do all this, it probably can do anything else, and just to be safe let's raise the cost to anything under $2000, I hope this helps you help me.

Did I cut my door frame too high for installing laminate wood floors?

I'm installing 12mm laminate wood flooring and I was following the directions about how to cut the door frames but I'm not sure I like how it looks. The directions say to line the wood floors up next to the door frame and mark 5/16 of an inch above that height to allow for expansion. Does this seem right? Will the floors possibly expand upward that much? After seeing how goofy it looked I started looking elsewhere for advice and everything else is saying to cut the door frames flush with the floor. Now the more important question, assuming I cut the frames to high, how can I fix this mistake? Caulk, quarter-round over door trim, anything other than replacing the door trim? Thanks.

Oregano and thyme should be OK as long as they get lots of sun. These plants are perennials, meaning they grow continually, at least for a few years. Capsicum is grown as an annual plant and usually dies after it has flowered and fruited. I'm just wondering who I can complain to about mall security guards in westfield belconnen in Canberra. Yesterday, I felt they discriminated against me. So, I signed a piece of paper (a contract) stating that I will be banned until the 10th of September, 2011 (a 3 month) period which I think is absolutely stupid and unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( They took down my details from my driver's license and took too mug shots of me (I hate the flash on those cameras. There was a red flash and then a white flash and they both dazzled me. Idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Anyway, the guy who was in charge of them (Rob was his name) was somewhat rough and he had a supervisor!!! So he wasn't really even in charge. My question is: Can I complain and take action against them to a higher authority?? I'm thinking of going back tomorrow and doing this. Even though they told me that I would be trespassing. My computer is a Windows Vista-Ultimate. On my computer tower, the drives are DVD-ROM/CD-R/W on the top, and EXPANSION on the bottom, but the EXPANSION one does not function. Just installed the Sims 3 generations and now it is barely working?

Previously i had all the expansions up to Late Night. It ran great no problems. Now that I have installed Generations, at first it wouldn't load past the initial loading screen, but i figured that out by removing some mods. No problem. Then I made a new town to see the difference and such. Made the people and it was just running a little slow, tolerable. After finishing the family I chose a lot to move them onto and selected the check mark to begin building the house, the loading icon showed up and disappeared almost immediately and froze on the town screen. Tried loading another family the house loaded. But the people icons on the side were not there. I cant seem to figure this out. I have tried completely removing my mods and to no avail. Errrrggggghhhh. Please Help.

The Sims 2 DirectX problem. Yes, Ive tried everything. Help?

I am trying to run The Sims 2 series [all expansions and stuff packs] on my laptop. It has run on it before without any problems. I installed windows 7 professional 32bit last summer and am just getting around to reinstalling everything. I keep getting this Direct X 9 Error message stating I need a direct x 9 compatible driver. All my system specs are compatible, and surpass what is needed in order to run the game. All my drivers are enabled in dxdiag, Ive updated the geoforce 8200G M card drivers, tried running it in windowed mode and in and off compatibility mode.Ive also uninstalled and reinstalled everything and that isnt helping. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the heck could be wrong? In case you have to know, i have a hp g60-445dx laptop.

What should i do when im the only girl?

my school has a lot of school activities, we have a dance almost every month, holiday parties, late starts, etc. Usually when we have such things like that we don't have afternoon classes or get released early. When having those extra hours i usually get high with my friends because some of them live really close to the school or we just go to this canyon near our school. Looking for the name of a mid-70’s early 80’s movie (possibly made for TV) involving the search for American Indian artifacts, specifically pieces of a golden tablet or possibly a stone tablet. The setting would have been modern day in the South West US, I just recall there were a white guy (probably an Archeologist) and an American Indian women searching for pieces of a golden table that were buried with tribal elders spread across the country. Along the lines of a tomb raider they may have had a map noting places to search, I know there were landmarks they knew to look for would indicate where a piece was located. I don’t remember the ending or what would occur if they found all the pieces of the tablet. I saw the movie when I was really young and it aired more than once on network TV. One other thing I thought of, the “landmarks” we’re actually symbols painted on canyon walls that aided in the location of the tablet pieces. I believe the lead Indian woman may have worn one piece of the puzzle around her neck. I don't recall any notable actors but this was not a Indian Jones movie or one of the Sinbad movies. I can answer for Chicago bc I live there... Check out the Art Institute museum, the Shedd Aquarium, the planetarium, Navy Pier, north avenue beach. There are a lot of free things to do as well. We have festivals all summer long and the music scene is amazing. Its not hard to find things once u are in town bc there is a paper called the Red Eye that is free and you can pick it up all over town and see what is going on. Chicago is awesome.

You don't have to go to the Daintree for dense rain forest; there are large areas within a couple of hours drive from Brisbane, Rainbow Beach, Double Island Point, Fraser Island are a few. Double Island Point and Indian Head on Fraser have cliffs. Sorry, not a lot of snow in Qld. The southern Highlands in NSW and the Alpine Way will fill that void for you. Dorrigo has a great area of subtropical rain forest and is human friendly. The Great Ocean Road in Vic is full of great scenery, but it has been photographed a zillion times and you should look at a different way to photograph it if your looking at a saleable photo session.

Sims 3 keeps crashing?

I only have Sims 3 base game and just installed it today for the first time in the last few days. I keeps crashing now though it worked fine a few weeks back and now it only loads the game lets me pick my family and i can start to decorate and if it doesn't crash while i'm doing that it crashes when i switch to live mode. I don't know what to do anymore... i installed the update with that origin thing... is that what the cause is? Please if you have any advice!! Why won't my N64 work on my TV?!?

PLEASE READ:Okay so I bought a new N64 and a new game(Ocarina of Time) because I couldn't find my old one from when I was a kid. So I was at my dads house, and it worked on a tiny old tv and my regular tv ( which are both kind of old) and I tried it on my little flat screen. At first, the red light would come on then go away in a second,I got mad and decided to deal with it it later, then it worked. Then I came back to my mom's house (the game cartridge is fine trust me) and it was doing the same thing, and after that one time the light wouldn't come on, it wouldn't come on at all. It actually worked at one point but I was retarded and bumps it and it turne off. The tv is a RCA TRUFLAT. I don't know when the TV came out though. I can't tell if it's my N64 or m TV. PLEASE HELP. Help im freaking out over a drug test ?

I was a heavy smoker college I left about 9 months ago since then a casual bowl every week or other week. if you actually mean basin as in the basin and range province of Nevada. there is no drainage outlet so you would find a dry lake or salt lake in the center, which is not an answer so your prof is pulling your leg. since the center is nearly flat it would be devoid of erosional artifacts, that eliminates everything but d. the dreaded fine grains. however if you look at actual basins in Death Valley and other California desert areas, you will also find fairly large size trigonal rocks. they are somewhat of a mystery and most likely the result wind action which does not require a ground slope to work. so i would have to say none of the above based on experience.

I am 5'6", I'm a 14 yo female and I weigh about 90 - 110 Kg. It varies. I don't go over 110 and I don't go under 90. Going to the Grand canyon from Los Angeles by AMTRAK?

My family and I are going to the Grand Canyon by train from LA. The only train there is arrives at Flagstaff at 4:30am. From here we take a bus to Williams, where there is a direct connection into the canyon. However, there is a 3.5 hour layover at Flagstaff. Is there a 24hr restaurant near the station where we can wait for the bus? We are traveling with our 14 yr old son.

Hello. I have all the expansion packs except the new one that just came out. Will be getting it though as it looks like it'll be fun. First, you must have the original Sims3 disc - so keep it. Then when you install the expansion games, the last game installed is the disk you use to start the game. It's a "build-on" kind of thing. I love building houses too. I'll make a character or go into a ready made family, then redo the whole house for them. Then I go on to another. Try downloading the free "Create A World" beta. You get it from the Exchange "store". Bare land you make your town/houses the way you want them, then start adding your Sims. No interaction with Sims - just have a ball making houses. TONS of fun. Each expansion kit gives you new options - some give you new things to build with. Otherwise, I go in to the store and buy windows, doors, etc. Hope this helps.Have FUN.

Rides at Cedar Point...?

Maverick is pretty amazing, but I think you should totally go on the Millennium Force or the Magnum. I know the Millennium force looks 'scary' but it's so awesome! The Magnum is basically a smaller version of the Millennium so you could do that too. Also the dragster is pretty good, the scariest part is waiting to get launched for the first time but after that it's really fun. Only it's really short for a 2 hour wait IMO. The raptor is also pretty good if you don't mind twisting/turning at fastish speeds.

Okay, I have a Toshiba with Windows 7. I bought the GOTY edition which has two discs. I have installed just the first disc ,which is Fallout3, and played to the very end. Make sure you bring A LOT OF MONEY. I have been here for a month and it's the most expensive place I have ever been to. Hotels are expensive about $150-200 a night. Rentals range from $280-$500 weekly with a 6 weeks deposit required. Vehicles are twice the cost they are in the US. Transportation system is great. Adult one month pass to all access of ferry's, busses and train is about $248 and children are $80 a month. Strollers work on the bus of any size strollers they are called Prams out here. 8 oz bottle of coke is $3.85 and a 2 liter bottle is $5.00. People make much more money out here than in the US. Minimum wage is like $15 an hour out here, so everything is more expensive because of that.

Why does the view of the ground, from a plane, just look like a bunch of different colored squares?

I know it's a strange question, but I've always wondered it. Every time I fly and look out the window it just looks like a bunch of different colored squares (unless I'm flying over water or the Grand Canyon.) Of course on the ground it is not like that at all. I wouldn't think there would be such strong separation, or visible "borders." Planning a road trip from kansas to california and back?

I'm travelling from wichita ks through the lower states down I-40 to san Diego with plans to stop at four corners then the grand canyon then into cali then returning home with a planned route through las vegas, salt lake city UT, yellowstone park in WY then through denver back to kansas. I'm curious as to about how much it'd cost to make the trip plus have extra cash for misc fun/sightseeing, motel fees, toll roads, and for emergencies. I've travelled a little but never a trip this long. I've rough estimated my vehicle at around 15-20 mpg or a little more on the highway given the driving/weather conditions, driving speed, and road conditions like slopes etc. Rough estimated the trip to be around 4,000 miles. Just want to make sure I'm gonna have enough to take the trip and have fun along the way.

Sims 3 Error? Perhaps Hard Drive?

I got a portable hard drive, and installed the sims + expansion packs. My dad wiped the hard drive thinking it was his own, and now that i've re installed the sims, it won't let me open the launcher, or TS3 delphy helper monkey. It just says I should tell microsoft about this error. BLA. I've had this before with just the launcher but I forget how it's fixed? Please help. .. Ps I do know you can byass the launcher, but I don't want to as it's to install CC.

Hi I've been experiencing error code 13 a lot on The Sims 3 lately (I've had the game since '09, I don't have World Adventures or Medieval or any expansion pack), I've experienced error code 13 a little bit in the past, I always just went to edit town and then changed something and then it was fine. Recently, that hasn't been working, also I experienced error code 12 once and there was no solution to that error. Can someone help me/tell me why it's happening? I have a lot of custom content and one world I play a lot is really full, so that's probably a reason why. Is there anything I can do to avoid these errors and not have to delete anything? I already deleted a lot of other saved worlds and saved sims!

Grand Caynon Trip Help! People who have been there only!!?

When I went there a couple of years ago, we went there at night, slept at a hotel, then for the whole next day we toured it. We actually toured it by ourselves, but I really wanted to go on the mule rides. However, we couldn't because one of the people with us was really scared of heights and we didn't want to leave him while the rest of us went on them. Hotel prices near flagstaff, arizona? 10 pts?

We went in March and stayed at the Travelodge across the the NAU Conference Center. We stayed a couple nights without a reservation. (A trip with no destination) I had called just about every hotel in town and they had the best price. If I remember correctly it was about $70/night. Nice rooms.
