Why does my Sims 3 game keep crashing?!!?

For some reason my Sims 3 Game keeps crashing. The whole screen just turns black. Somebody online told me to uninstall then reinstall. I did that. I have most of the expansion packs, so I had to uninstall those to. Even after I uninstalled it still is crashing. I dont know what to do...
