What i think you should do is go to him and tell him because if you wait for him to come back, he might never come back and your hopes will be given up. But when you talk to him ask for a second chance everyone makes so no one is exactly perfect. And dont beg for him back because that'll make guilt in your relationship. If you ask me I think everyone deserves a sceond chance....I hoped this helped.
